Acerca de Oxytocin Acetate
Oxytocin is a nine-amino acid neuropeptide produced in the hypothalamus and released from the posterior pituitary. Its roles span social bonding, uterine contractions, lactation, and neuromodulation — a breadth that has made it one of the most studied peptides in behavioral and social neuroscience over the past 30 years. Is oxytocin really a “love hormone”?
The “love hormone” framing captures a real research finding but oversimplifies the pharmacology significantly.
